ROASTING PROCESS


After studying all of the commercially available roasters, RD Coffee developed its own proprietary process.  It is based on fluid bed hot air roasting. Using hot air maintained at a precise temperature, my process forces hot air at a measured velocity to circulate and roast the coffee beans.  Once the beans are selected and the moisture content is calculated, we determine the desired outcome and begin the process. Operating through our specialized roasting software and settings, we have the ability to measure and control, temperature and time in the roasting chamber, assuring that each bean is roasted evenly.   With this control, each roast profile produces the best flavors maintaining consistency of color, quality, and taste.

We only roast small batches of 2.8 lbs. at a time to assure the highest quality, freshness, and consistency.  This is what creates the smooth clean taste of RD Coffee.
